Complaints

If the product has been damaged or you have any other issues, please contact us here, and we’ll do our best to find a solution to your problem!

If any of our products or their parts don’t work due to a fault of our own, we’ll fix or replace them for free within two years of your purchase. All Prosawoods products have a two-year right for claims since the date of purchase. This applies to all manufacturer defects only; we do not consider defects caused by scratches, broken watch glass, dead batteries, normal wear, or fractured wood.

You can return an order within 14 days of receiving it. However, note that this does not apply to custom orders. For example, you can’t return a watch or sunglasses with special engravings or optical glasses with your prescription lenses. To return a product, fill out the form here.

Durability of products

All of our products are covered with wax (watches) or varnish (sunglasses, phone covers) for added durability. We use materials that are as nature friendly as possible, but they’re still wood in the end. If your product is exposed to sweat or salt water, it’s recommended that you clean it with a wet cloth. Water droplets shouldn’t be an issue, but it’s not recommended that you keep wooden products in very wet environments for an extended period of time.

Eyeglasses

You should not purchase wooden glasses if:

  • You intend to wear them often in high-moisture environments, such as saunas, swimming pools, etc.
  • You are having trouble with your current glasses all the time—i.e., they tend to bend or get damaged often. Wood is not elastic material and must be handled with care.
  • The nose pads of the glasses don’t fit. It’s impossible to adjust the nose pads for wooden frames, so wooden glasses might not be for you if you feel they don’t sit comfortably on your nose.
  • You participate in extreme sports. If you wear glasses while snowboarding, riding motocross, etc., then wooden eyewear might not be the best solution for you; if you have an accident, the wood might crack and hurt you.

In this respect, wooden frames are no different from any others. You can find photochromic and tinted lenses for any optical glasses in our shop. If you need any special lenses, like progressive ones, feel free to get in touch so we can help!

Yes! In most cases, our frames are suitable for even the most special lenses. Let us know what you want, and we’ll find a solution!

When cleaning the lenses, be careful not to bend the frames too much. It’s recommended that you hold the glasses at the nose bridge when cleaning them. Use only a special cloth and liquid to clean your glasses. In particular, be sure to avoid cleaning your glasses or lenses with unknown chemicals and worn-out or rough cloths.

Yes, but we highly recommend that you have it done by us or wherever you purchased your wooden eyewear. Our resellers have experience with wooden frames and adapting lenses to fit them. Incompetent optical outlets may accidentally break your glasses and claim that it was the fault of the wooden frames when that’s not the case.

Naturally, wooden frames aren’t quite as durable as plastic, so you should be a bit more careful when wearing or cleaning your glasses. Usually, the same logic applies to wooden frames as to any other material—if you sit on them, drop them, or continuously put them on with one hand, it might damage them. If you handle them with care, then wooden glasses are not any weaker than frames of any other material. The slightly lower durability is compensated by their lightweight material, warmth, nature friendliness, and the compliments of the opposite sex 😉

While our sunglasses aren’t afraid of small splashes, we advise against wearing them in high-humidity places like saunas or swimming pools.

Unfortunately, no. We do our best to make our sunglasses fit as many faces as possible. If you do need your nose pads adjusted, doing so will be impossible.

Wood is a bit more sensitive to extreme temperatures than metal or plastic. It’s recommended that you not leave your sunglasses in places where temperatures may get especially high or low—such as on a car dashboard, in a sauna, or even out in the cold.

General Questions

Since most of our customers prefer to have their pair of sunglasses or wristwatches with a special engraving, we devote most of our attention to our e-store catalog. But if you happen to be in Estonia, please let us know and we will give you information about the locations.

We do our best to make the photos as realistic as possible. However, it’s expected that you may notice some minor differences in the wood structure or color tone, since there are no identical trees or products. During our five years in business, we haven’t had to return a single product because a customer claimed it was different from the accompanying product photos. Just the opposite, in fact! We’ve had lots of positive feedback from people telling us that our products look even better in real life.

Yes, of course! You can read more about our planting events here: https://www.prosawoodshop.com/en/1-product-1-tree-planted/.

If you’d like to come and help out by planting your own tree, you’re more than welcome to join us! 🙂

Payments

Yes, of course! You can simply enter your company info when placing the order. It’s also possible to pay by invoice—just write to us. We’ll ship your order after the payment has been received.

In general, we try to keep our prices accessible to everyone. But you can always write to us before making a bulk order—we’re sure we can work something out! 🙂

Phone cases

To ensure that our phone cases are lightweight, durable, and of just the right dimensions, we make the edges out of rubber. However, the back of the cover, where you find engravings, is made of wood.

We only offer the opportunity to create your own design for light wood phone cases, since the process for darker wood is much more complicated. We need a special mold to do that, which is too expensive for a one-time design.

Unfortunately, no. Photos are usually too large for a comparatively narrow phone case. Moreover, keep in mind that engraving involves burning the wood, so the result will appear black and white.

It’s quite easy to engrave graphics (logos, shapes, etc.) and text. However, the original file must be of good quality because the computer has to “draw” the design in a suitable format.

When the image quality is really bad—like if it’s grainy or excessively small—it’s very difficult to get a good result for an engraving. If you’re not sure whether your design is doable, feel free to send us an email!

If you don’t want to go with one of our existing designs, we can put you in touch with our designer to bring your idea to life. Just make sure you have a clear idea of what you want it to look like. Pictures or drawings make our life a lot easier! Creating a custom design means you’ll need to come up with your own aesthetics and shapes (as much as we’d love to, we don’t have the time to do that ourselves).

If you’d like to know whether your idea is doable, please drop us a line at orders@prosawoodshop.com, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. If your requested design is feasible, we’ll send you a sample and start working on your order!

With some models, the phone case does extend over the display, so if you lay your phone face down, its display will be protected.

Unfortunately, there are new phone models released every day, so we just can’t keep up with production. We try to work with the most common smartphone models. You can always send us recommendations—in fact, it may turn out that you’re not the only one who wants a phone case for a particular model, so we may actually consider adding one to our catalog! However, please note that this process may take a while.

Shipping

The delivery time depends on the destination country and your selected delivery method. We usually ship your order in 1–2 work days, unless otherwise stated on the checkout screen. The rest is beyond our control and mainly depends on the delivery’s destination. You’ll see a more accurate estimate of the delivery time in the shopping cart once you’ve entered your destination and chosen the delivery method.

We don’t offer this option officially, but we can always work something out if you’re in a hurry and give us a call or write to us!

For international shipping, we use TNT/FedEx, DHL, or Omniva postal services, depending on your selected method. For domestic shipping, we use FedEx SmartPost and the door-to-door delivery option offered by Venipak. In Estonia, you can pick up your order from our offices.

Shipping is free worldwide! For free shipping, we use Omniva standard mail. If you wish to receive your products faster, you can always pay a little extra and have them shipped by DHL or TNT. To see the exact price and delivery time of faster shipping options, add a product to your shopping cart and enter the delivery destination.

If you’re buying our products from within the EU, no additional charges will be applied.

If you’re ordering a product from outside the EU, all applicable taxes will need to be paid by whoever placed the order.

Every time we ship a product, you should receive an email with the tracking number and instructions. If you didn’t please write us and we will explain you the situation and provide you with a tracking number.

In some some rare cases, the delivery may take a bit more time. Usually, this is due to approaching holidays or any other unforeseeable event that’s beyond our control or the carrier’s. In any case, please feel free to let us know about your problem so we can find out what’s going on. We’re confident that we can find a solution 🙂

Most likely, yes! Depending on your location, the delivery time may vary a bit, but we can’t imagine that there will be obstacles for sending them anywhere!

Sunglasses

All of our wooden sunglasses are unisex, so they fit both!

We currently only have standard sizes, so unfortunately, we can’t make bigger or smaller models at this moment.

Adding an engraving to the inner side of the temples costs 10€ for each side.

While our sunglasses aren’t afraid of small splashes, we advise against wearing them in high-humidity places like saunas or swimming pools.

Wooden optical frames are not bendable, but all of our sunglasses have spring hinges, which means they should be able to fit almost any head. If the frames are too wide, then it will unfortunately not be possible to make them narrower.

We only use UV400 protected polarized lenses for our sunglasses.

TAC polarized lenses are multi-layered technology that’s able to block light reflected from smooth surfaces. This prevents your eyes from tiring and ensures that they don’t have to constantly adjust to different light intensities. Polarized lenses also improve viewing contrast so you can better discern objects.

We work very hard to create beautiful designs so everyone can find one that they love. Making engravings on the outer side is not as easy as it seems, so you (and we!) might be disappointed with the results. To engrave a design on the outer side of the temple is a very time-consuming process because it involves a narrow area, so it requires extreme care.

In addition, the outer side is visible to everyone, and we don’t want to engrave text or objects that don’t match our principles. Since we don’t want to be the judges of appropriate designs, we simply choose to avoid doing them in the first place.

However, with larger orders, we could consider also making designs on the outside of the temple—just let us know! Our designer will then assess whether your idea is doable and let you know what minimum order quantity will make it happen.

Yes, but you can only choose the frames from our optical glasses selection. To do so, go to our optical glasses catalog, find your favorite model, and choose the type of lenses you want—optical eyeglasses, optical sunglasses, or photochromic sunglasses.

Watches

If you’d like personalize your watch with an engraving, then regular engraving is 15€ and when choosing a premium engraving, then the price is 25€.

Of course! Just let us know what you’d like, and we’ll do our best to make it come to life! However, note that the file you send us for your engraving design should be in the appropriate format (vectors or high-resolution images). Additionally, keep in mind that the engraving area is very small, with an approximate width of 3 cm, so we can’t work with big shapes. The result will also be black and white, so we need to be sure that the result will look as good as it does in color.

No, this is unfortunately physically impossible with our machinery. The engraving area on the back is too small, and it’s not possible to engrave colors. Engraving basically involves burning the wood, so the result will always be black and white.

If you don’t know the recipient’s wrist girth, don’t worry! We’ll send you the watch with the maximum number of links, which 99.9% of the time is more than enough. To ensure a perfect fit, the recipient can then visit any local watchmaker and have them adjust the number of links as needed.

We recommend that you visit your nearest watchmaker. It’s a very quick job and should only cost you a few bucks.

Note: Links should be removed symmetrically. For example, if you need to remove four links, then be sure to take two from both sides.

Use a tape measure, but be sure to place your pinkie finger between your wrist and the tape measure for the most accurate reading.

Don’t worry! We include some extra links with all of our watches. It’s very easy to add them to your strap, so any watchmaker should be able to give you a hand if needed.

Unfortunately, no—they’re made of wood 🙂 However, minor splashes won’t affect them, and you don’t have to worry about protecting your watch if you’re in the rain. However, if you go swimming or diving, it’s better to leave your watch ashore.

The leather strap is attached to your watch by a metal pin that can be easily removed. Just push the metal button to the inner side of the strap, and carefully remove the strap. Make sure that the pin is not in the body of the watch anymore and that the strap is moving.

Sapphire glass is the most durable glass you can use on a watch. It’s extremely resistant to scratches. Only diamond glass is slightly more durable. The same kind of glass is used by many high-end watchmakers around the globe.

It’s hardened mineral glass that’s been treated with anti-scratch coating.

Watches with quartz movements are electrically powered (mostly by battery). They’re in widespread use thanks to their convenience—there’s no need to wind them up manually, and they’re very precise.

It’s a battery-powered watch movement consisting of parts manufactured in Switzerland.

Yes, of course! So if you’d like to gift one of our watches to someone, there’s no need to waste more time or money on special packaging 🙂

Most likely, the battery has just died. You can visit your nearest watchmaker, and they’ll take care of it for you within minutes. If that doesn’t help, then feel free to write to us, and we’ll be happy to figure it out for you!

It takes a lot of time and effort to create a unique and elegant design—we have to find the right colors, materials, shapes and all the other parts that come together as a whole. The face of a watch is quite special, so we’ve decided to make exceptions here. But you can always customize the back of the watch case!

Yes! We’ll soon be adding this option to our store as well, but until then, just write to us!
